‘Tis the season to be wrapping…presents! Many of you have asked me on Facebook and Youtube what the best way is to organize and store wrapping paper. Some of you may have even seen the wrapping paper organizer I use in my home tour video. Since it’s the holiday season, I took a few minutes to make a quick video showing you the why this organizer by The Container Store is my favorite to organize and store wrapping paper.

Here are the links to The Container Store Wrapping Paper Organizer (which is two pieces):

Video Details

Hey guys. It’s Alejandra. And I’m sitting here in my home office and I just finished working for the day. And I was about to relax and have dinner and stuff and then I realized that I got a package in the mail. It’s actually one of my Christmas gifts that I ordered that’s ready to be wrapped. So I figured the perfect time to do a video is when a gift comes and I’ve already spent the whole day doing videos so might as well do a video on how to organize your gift wrap.

So this video – and actually, I did another gift wrap video. I think it was like three or four months ago on how to organize your gift bags and your gift tags but I left out how to organize your wrapping paper. And I think I posted a picture of how organized my wrapping paper a few months ago. Actually, I think it was like last year or something. And a lot of people have commented and asked, “Alejandra, where did you get this wrapping paper organizer? I love it. It’s cool. It’s out of the way.” So I’m going to show you exactly where to get this wrapping paper organizer that is right behind me.

How to Organize & Store Wrapping Paper with Container Store Products

Wrapping Paper Organizer! Keep your craft room #organized & gift wrap wrinkle free 🙂

Let me put my drink down and let me grab the camera and let me show you exactly how I organized my gift wrap. So there are two pieces to this gift wrap organizer. There is this basket which holds the bottoms and this is from The Container Store. It’s called an elfa Accessory Basket. And I’ll put a link in the description of the video.

And then this is at the very top, it’s also made by elfa. I’m not really sure what the name of this is but it basically just holds the paper from not coming forward or fell into the side. And this is like seven bucks. I think that’s like ten bucks. And basically, you just mount it to the wall using anchors and screws. So you can see the two screws there and then you can see there’s a screw down there and then there’s a screw on the other side.

So what’s really cool about this is the gift wrap is out of the way. It’s not jammed in a closet. It’s not under the bed. The ends aren’t getting torn because it’s not stored properly. None of that stuff. Like the gift wrap stays intact, in place, and it stays beautiful. So I will post links to those products.

Organizing Tissue Paper & Gift Bags

Down below the organizer is where I have all of my paper bags. Paper bags are – it’s basically like treat bags that I use whenever I make like cute little gift bags or like make cookies and then giving it to somebody. I come to this bin and I grab a treat bag. Oh, and this is really cute. This is a cupcake and it’s actually, it’s a little gift bag or it’s a little gift box.

And actually, my sister gave me this and she put these little tokens in here which says like what my gift was like she got me, “This coupon entitles you to one free game of miniature golf, 18 holes.” And this is so ironic because I actually passed the mini golf that she’s talking about last week and I thought and I was like, “Oh, I still have this coupon I need to use.”

And then the other one says, “This coupon entitles you to one year subscription of Martha Stewart Living Magazine.” Because she knows I’m so crafty and I’m a fan of Martha Stewart. OK. So that was just a little side note. I can get this in there. I just thought this was such a cute little gift bag or a little gift box. It’s actually from Michaels. Michaels is a craft store.

All right. And let’s see what is inside the other box. This is all my tissue paper. This is like my cute little label. I just decorated a shoe box from The Container Store. These are actually wall details from Target. See? That one has the same thing. It says paper bags with little polka dots. I’m a huge polka dot person. I love polka dots.

So this is all my tissue paper and I only buy, this is going to sound really ridiculous but I only buy tissue paper that like comes in this size like I don’t buy the big sheets because they’re not going to fit in this bin. I know some of you are like, “That’s ridiculous.” And it probably is ridiculous. It probably sounds really crazy but that’s just what I do.

So tissue paper on one side and paper bags are on the other side. Really, the main point of the video is to show you how I organize my gift wrap. Let me try taking one out and show you how easy it is. Similarly, you just take out the wrapping paper. You use it and then you just put it back. Tada! Super easy.

Anyways, you’ve seen how I organized my gift wrap. I’m off to wrap some gifts. I’ll see you guys soon. Bye!
