One of my secrets to staying organized is doing a 30-minute clean-up routinely using my favorite timer.

Video Details

Hi, everyone. It’s Alejandra. And I’m going to share one of my secrets for how to remain organized. So getting organized is one thing but staying organized is another thing.

30-Minute Daily Organizing Using Time Timer

So one of the things that I always do inside my own house is I set a timer for 30 minutes every day or every other day. And for those 30 minutes, I quickly, as fast as I can, I put things away that aren’t in its place. So stuff on the coffee table, the kitchen table, the kitchen counter, the floor that is just like out because of the busy lives that we live, I just put it away as fast as I can.

30-Minute Daily Organizing Using Time Timer

And I use a timer, this is my favorite timer, it’s made by TimeTimer and I set it for 30 minutes. The really cool thing about this timer is the red decreases as your time decreases. So it gets smaller and smaller and then eventually it just beeps when time is over. Doing a 30minute cleanup every day helps you avoid accumulation of stuff that’s out of its place.

The most important thing about doing a 30-minute cleanup is being consistent. If you are consistently inconsistent, it’s not going to work. You just have to get in the routine and get in the habit of doing this. So if you set a timer for 30 minutes or 45 minutes or even an hour if you have that kind of time every day or every other day or three or four times a week, you will notice a huge difference on how organized your house stays.
