Alejandra's Favorite Organizing Products
Below you will find a list of my favorite organizing products that I’ve compiled in the 12 years of working as a professional organizer. I recommend not purchasing organizing products until you learn the decluttering & organizing processes. Please note that while some of the links below are affiliate links and we are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites, all of the products listed I have personally purchased, I use in my home, and absolutely LOVE! One of my core values is authenticity and I would never recommend a product for the sake of earning a commission. If a product is listed below, it has passed my rigorous testing!
Toilet Brush Cleaner
This is the toilet brush I have in my cleaning caddy. It’s basic, it’s one of the cheapest ones on the market, it has a mini brush at the top for cleaning the rim ofMore
the toilet, and it just plain works! The only “con” about this brush is that it doesn’t clean the toilet for you, haha 🙂
Microfiber All-Purpose Cloth
These are the blue microfiber cloths I have in my cleaning caddy and all over my home for all-purpose cleaning! I use them for cleaning pretty much everything around theMore
home except cleaning mirrors (I use a glass microfiber cloth) and stainless steel (I use a stainless steel microfiber cloth). They work well, they aren’t too thick (I prefer thinner cloths), and the price is reasonable. NOTE: If you buy these in-store at Home Depot (as opposed to Amazon), the price is basically cut in half at $0.37 per cloth!
Microfiber Stainless Steel Cloth
This is the microfiber stainless steel cloth I use to clean anything stainless from the refrigerator to the trash can! I’ve found that this cloth works best damp with a little bit ofMore
plain water! This cloth is kept under the kitchen sink as this is where it’s used most!
Microfiber Glass Cloth
This is the microfiber glass cloth I use to clean mirrors, shower doors, and anything else glass around the house! It works well, It works well, it’s durable, and it doesn’tMore
leave messy streaks! 🙂 Oh, and… it already comes labeled “Glass Cloth” on the back!
Best Cleaning Caddy
After several hours of researching cleaning caddies, this is the one I found to be the best, use, and absolutely LOVE! It’s a good size, has a flat bottom, has a fixed handle,More
and has nice size compartments so things don’t move or slide around!! AND… it was the cheapest I found for $2.68 at Walmart!! Note: The link for this product is for a case of 6 🙁 However, in-store at Walmart, it is $2.68!
Alejandra’s Vacuum Cleaner
This is the vacuum cleaner I have. It’s my first Dyson and it’s worth every penny! Why? It actually picks up EVERYTHING you vacuum, the attachments are easy toMore
use, it’s great with pet hair, and the canister is extremely easy to empty without the dust and dirt flying everywhere. I have to say, it’s actually fun to vacuum when you have a good vacuum cleaner! 🙂
Remove Sticky Residue
If you need to remove sticky residue (e.g., gum, residue from sticker price tags, tape, etc), this is the solution for you! GooGone literally wipes away sticky residue in aMore
couple of swipes. It also works for removing crayon, lipstick, mascara, oil, blood, grease, and shoe polish. If you don’t need a big bottle of this, Dollar Tree sells a mini version for $1 🙂
Soap Dispenser & Sponge Holder
This is the soap dispenser and sponge holder I use at the kitchen sink. I searched forever to find a dispenser with a good pump where the soap doesn’t get stuck…More
and this is it!! The soap dispenser is easy to open, easy to fill, large enough where you don’t have to constantly refill it, the pump works beautifully without getting stuck, AND it has a built-in sponge holder. This product is 5-star!!
Best Hooks to Hang Cleaning Tools
These are the best hooks for hanging cleaning tools in the garage and/or laundry room (e.g., mop, broom, duster, and/or anything with a handle)! The hooks areMore
easy-to-install, sturdy, non-slip, and can be used in two ways – hung on the hook or through the loop (and yes, when you hang something through the loop, it actually stays!!).
Mini Step-Stool for Closets
This is the step-stool I keep in my bedroom closet for accessing hard-to-reach items! It always comes in handy, it’s lightweight, it’s sturdy, and it’s folds up nicely to maximizeMore
space. The below link goes to Amazon. However, I purchased mine at HomeGoods at $9.99 (same brand, similar color and pattern). I’ve also seen the same step stool at Marshalls, Ross, and TJMaxx (the brand is The Macbeth Collection).
