Hi, everyone. So I got together with Diet Pepsi to show you how you can share the love this Valentine’s Day. So sharing the love to me means helping your family get organized so everybody feels productive, everybody is on time, and you can just spend more time together on the weekends and after school.

3 Simple Ways to Organize Your Family: Tip #1

The first thing you can do is help dad get organized. So when dad comes home after work, he has a lot of stuff inside his pockets like coins, his wallet, his phone, keys, receipts from during the day, so he needs a place to put everything so he’s not just like dumping things throughout the house and then mom gets frustrated and irritated.

The best place to add a home for all the stuff inside dad’s pocket is by the front door because he walks in and he immediately wants to put his stuff down. So what I’ve done here is I’ve added a decorative bowl that matches the rest of the décor in the house. He actually has a home to dump things.

When everything has a home such as all the stuff inside his pockets, getting ready and leaving the house in the morning is so easy. And when it’s easy and you have more time, you can actually have breakfast together.

Family Organizing Tip #2: Organizing the Kitchen

So for mom. One of the most important areas for mom to keep organized is the kitchen. Think about packing lunches for kids, breakfast in the morning, and dinner after work so if mom is organized in the kitchen, she’s going to have more time to spend with the rest of the family.

When it comes to organizing the kitchen cabinets, I like to organize everything by category and frequency of use. So for example in this cabinet, on the bottom shelf, I would put breakfast foods like cereal, oatmeal, and then also, lunch, snacks so when you pack the kid’s lunches, everything is nice and easy to access. And then on the middle shelf right here, I would put dinner foods and then at the very top, put stuff that you don’t use every day or maybe stuff that you buy in bulk.

Family Organization Tip #3: Organizing Kids Artwork

Now here is an organizing tip for the kids. If you have kids you know that they bring home a lot of artwork and there’s never the perfect place to put it. So I’m going to give you a few tips to get the artwork off like the floor, the surfaces, and get them on to the wall where there’s plenty of space.

So the first thing you can do is grab string, nails, thumbtacks, whatever you have to kind of hang up a piece of artwork. And I’m using a clothespin to kind of attach it to the string and create a wall dedicated to just their favorite pieces of artwork. So another cool thing about this idea is to follow the in and out rule, which means when one piece of artwork comes in, another one has to come out to make room for it.

So that’s how I’m sharing the love this Valentine’s Day. How will you share the love? Let us know on Twitter using the #sharethelove and tell us how you’ll be loving every sip of Valentine’s Day.
