Hi everyone. It’s Alejandra. And today is the last day of 2011 and I’m about to head to one of my friend’s house to celebrate the year and celebrate all the stuff that happened. But I want to just do a quick video and talk about New Year’s resolutions because right now is the time when everybody is setting them, right? You’re thinking about what didn’t go so well this past year and how you want to change that in the New Year.

Tip for Keeping Your New Years Resolutions (or Goals)

And one of the top reasons or one of the top ten resolutions for New Year’s is to get organized, right? You hear people all the time saying, “I want to get more organized this year. I want to be more productive. I want to get more stuff done.” And that’s great and all but I think there is a statistic that says that people normally keep their resolutions for like two to three weeks and then they slip back to their old ways like for those first two to three weeks, we work really hard at the resolution we set and then when we have a bad day or something happens that goes against the resolution that we set, we tend to just fall down, right?

Like maybe one day, you don’t make you bed or you don’t fold laundry or the house is a mess. And then the next day you’re like, “Oh, my resolution didn’t stick.” Because you had one bad day, right? That happens to a lot of people.

But what I want to tell you is just because you have one bad day don’t let it ruin a week. Don’t let it run a month. Don’t let it ruin a year. Don’t stop your resolution because something happens. Pick yourself back up. Tell yourself, “You can do it because you can do anything you set your mind to and just continue having a good day.”

So anyways, that’s my quick tip for you. Set your New Year’s resolution and if you happen to have a bad day in like two weeks, three weeks, just pick yourself up and continue going because it doesn’t matter. We all have bad days.

So anyways, that’s my quick tip for you. I hope you have a wonderful 2012 filled with organization, productivity, getting lots of things done, and anything else that’s on your list of improving in the New Year. I know I have my stuff so whatever you’re working on improving in the New Year I hope that comes true for you. I’ll see you guys soon. Bye!
