Here’s how I organize my wallet, credit cards and gift cards. So much more functional and easier to use instead of a traditional wallet 😉

Video Details

Hi everyone, it’s Alejandra. And I was shopping this week. I forgot where I was but I was somewhere out this weekend. I was at a register and the lady behind me just stopped me and was like, “Can I see your wallet?” And I was like, “Huh? Like why do you want to see my wallet?” And she was like, “I really like how you can see all your credit cards. Can I just see like how you set it up?” And then when I realized that she was talking about organizing, I was like, “Yeah, let me show you everything. Let me show you how this is the best way to organize your credit cards and your gift cards and all that stuff.”

And we were just laughing and having a good time in line, holding out the rest of the line. But when I realized that she thought I was like the coolest thing ever and she wasn’t the first person that told me that, I was like, “All right. I need to share this tip with other people so others can start doing the same thing.”

How to Organize Your Wallet, Credit Cards & Gift Cards

So, I took out all my credit cards and all my sensitive information and I put in all my cards that don’t have numbers so I can do this video. But the first thing I have is a business card little mini binder holder thing that I got from The Container Store. And I put all my credit cards and my gift cards in these little sleeves because I am a very visual person and I like to see everything. I don’t like things hidden. And when I flip through the pages, I can just immediately see everything like it’s so cool.

How to Organize Your Wallet, Credit Cards & Gift Cards

In my last wallet that I had a normal style wallet where you just unzip and then you open it and then like you reach in and try to find your credit card. I just couldn’t see everything, there were cards behind cards, behind cards and the pockets were really tight. And it was just so frustrating every time I was paying by credit cards. So, I was like, “How can I fix this problem?”

And this solution that I’ve been doing for over a year now is the best and I will never switch it because it works for me. And because I’m so visual, I can see everything, I can see the exact card that I’m looking for. It’s really cool.

So, that’s what I do for my credit cards and gift cards. And usually, I put the receipt to whatever I buy in the very front pocket here. There’s also a back pocket. I’m just kidding. There’s no back pocket. But there’s a front pocket and I put all the receipts there and when I get home from the store, I just take the receipt out and I either file it, archive it, or scan it, or get rid of it, whatever type of – based on whatever type of receipt it is.

So that’s what I do for credit cards and gift cards. For cash and change, I just have a very small change purse and I just literally just throw like the dollars in here and then the change in here even though it’s like a vice-versa right now. But yeah, I have my cash and then I have my credit cards and gift cards.

That’s my video for today. I will see you guys soon. Bye.
