In this video I show you how I organized my small guest room bathroom cabinet on a budget! I shopped the house, went to Dollar Tree, and Home Goods and turned my “blah” cabinet into a beautifully organized system that maximizes space, is easily accessible, and only cost $19 (I could have actually only spent $12 but I really wanted the $7 over-the-door basket for the bottles I buy in bulk)! I hope you enjoy the video and thanks for watching!
I’m sitting here at my desk on Monday afternoon and finalllllllly feel like I can take a break and write an update on what’s been going on since the new year rang in! Ever since January of this year I’ve been juggling a lot of “big” projects. And for awhile I’ve been meaning to sit down and write a blog post to update everyone on what’s been going on at Alejandra.tv. However, other things took priority and writing this blog post got pushed to the back burner. In fact, when I started writing this post just now, I saw a “draft post” dated 3 months ago with the same title! Better late than never.
Ok, so what’s been going on at Alejandra.tv? A lot of stuff!! The past four months have been non-stop, which is why you might be hearing crickets on my Facebook page or seeing fewer videos posted to my YouTube channel. I’ve been busy working on lots of big projects that have been totally time consuming and have forced me to prioritize. Just last week I started to feel like all of my open projects are finally approaching the finish line. I can’t tell you how good it feels to work on a big project for months and finallllllly see the end in sight. Wow! What a relief. Anyway, here’s what I’ve been up to:
.
Last year we released my full organizing program (the Power Productivity Program) that shows you how to get organized and stay organized. I just spent almost five months improving, updating, and adding lots of videos to the program and creating tons of printables to go along with the material. I must say, the program was awesome before, but now it’s even more awesome!
In the update, all of the concepts I demonstrate are visually shown in videos (the same style as my YouTube videos). For example, I show my to-do list process, and in the program you can watch me step-by-step (on video) setup, update, and use my to-do list. In another set of videos you can see me completely transform a room from messy to organized, step-by-step.
Preparing for the videos, setting up for the videos, getting ready for the videos, and filming the videos was incredibly challenging. Have you ever talked for 8 hours straight on camera?!? Being the introvert that I am, it was so tough, but fun at the same time. Filming just one video requires so much work. And the program update includes roughly 40 videos! It’s been a long few months but I’m so excited for everyone to watch them soon!
We will release the program update in May. If you’re already a member of my Power Productivity Program, you’ll receive the update automatically for free! If you’re not a member, you can join here and you’ll receive the updated program as soon as it’s released!
Here’s a shot from one of the organizing videos!

In case you haven’t noticed, our website got a facelift! We actually started updating our website back in June of 2012 and just finished a major update in the end of March 2013. We re-branded the site and completely reorganized all of the content (photos, videos, products, etc.). Read more…
In this video I give you a tour of how I organize my small laundry room closet and show you everything I do to stay organized while getting laundry done!

When you work from home, your home is your office and your office is your home. Everything just blurs together! Here’s a shot of our kitchen transformed photo studio! The extremely talented Jon Armstrong of The Documentist took photos of our organized home for a few design projects we are working on. You should have seen our house after the shoot, it was a total mess! We spent almost 12 hours taking 600+ pictures! It’s amazing all of the time and effort it takes to capture a single shot. Here’s a pic of my favorite binders smiling for the camera!

I was at Office Depot today and I came across these jumbo sized Post-It Notes! I’ve seen them online before but never in the store- OMG they are so big! They actually come in three sizes – Large Size (Yellow), X-Large Size (Pink) and XX-Large Size (Blue). These sticky notes would be a perfect addition to my rainbow post-it note drawer (although they probably wouldn’t fit!).

Organizing the kitchen and pantry has been a life-long passion of Alejandra’s. She shared her story with Northern Virginia Magazine in an article entitled, “An Orderly Kitchen Makes An Organized Life,” in the March 2013 edition.
All of my shopping is finally finished and now it’s time to start wrapping gifts (my favorite part)! To make wrapping easier, I created a holiday gift wrap station in my house kind of like what the stores have in the mall.
In my holiday gift wrap station, I corralled all of holiday wrapping supplies such as wrapping paper, gift bags, tissue paper, cello bags, ribbon, bows, bells, etc into one area to avoid running all over the house to find supplies when needed. Total time it took to setup was 20-30 minutes! Happy holidays!
The holidays always come fast and with that, usually comes stress! In this video, I show you how to stay organized during the holiday season with my essential holiday binder and checklist that tracks and manages all of your card and gift-giving lists!

Does anyone else realllllly dislike organizing (and dealing with) wires, cords, and cables? Sometimes they can be a big pain to find, organize, and store. Here’s a video I filmed on my new wire/cord/gadget organizing system in my home office. I can honestly say, it’s actually kind of fun to retrieve a cord now (who knew this could even be possible?!?!).
