Have you ever seen a closet with an angled wall? If not, see below. This is a pantry I designed, Ed installed, and I organized. The original pantry design had shelving on the back wall only and dead space on the left hand side “angled” wall. I couldn’t believe how much wasted space there was just because of an angle in the wall (imagine this closet without the shelves on the left). It’s almost as if the builder didn’t realize you could put shelves on the angled wall.

Anyway, just wanted to share this photo with you to show you how much MORE space we found when we got creative with the shelving (added 6 more shelves). Just because you have an awkward angle in the space doesn’t mean its dead space. Think of it as an opportunity to get creative. Think about how your angled space can be used: maybe add shelves,  install hooks, add something hanging from the ceiling, etc. Dead space = wasted space.
